This monumental recording casts an intimate musical look at two extraordinary musicians from 1967-1980. Mike Seeger is a founding member of the New Lost City Ramblers and part of the influential Seeger family. Alice Gerrard is best known for her work with Hazel Dickens. Together, Mike and Alice sang many beautiful duets, some of which are eerily relevant (for example, Private John Q). Both musicians contribute pieces they wrote, and they perform some great covers of country and bluegrass songs.
