Though he had released two albums under the name Marc & The Mambas during Soft Cell's career, this was the first solo album under his name and his first since the demise of Soft Cell. Though the album is more musically upbeat than his past releases, Vermin In Ermine found Almond still sleazy and dark in the lyrical department. Some Bizarre.
